Trips & Events

All spring 2020 trips and programs are postponed or canceled due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

All of our properties and trails are still open to the public.

We ask that if the trailhead parking area is full, you visit another area. Maintain a safe distance between yourself and other hikes, keep dogs on a 6′ leash or shorter, and pack out all trash- and don’t forget a tick check! Thank you!

Take advantage of our self-guided Hikes of the Month of enjoy a new offering of online and do-at-home resources.

Never miss a trip: current Conservancy members receive a printed trip card in the mail each season.

All trips and programs are free and open to all (unless noted). Please leave pets at home; service dogs welcome.

Conservancy trips, led by our staff and experienced volunteers, explore the wilder side of Hanover with snowshoeing, birding, family hikes, habitat demonstrations, wildflower walks, and history tours.  Members receive a seasonal colorful trip card before public announcement. Thanks to member and corporate support, outdoor trips are free and most are open to all.

  • No registration required unless noted.
  • Dress for the weather in layers, with sturdy foot gear (we go out rain or shine).  Many trips are designed for families with young children.
  • Pets – We love our dogs too, but please leave them at home unless they are a service animal.
  • Past Trips: See where we went and what we did here!
