The Power of Water/The Power of Words ~ Th., March 23, 7-9pm

Apple Tree Pruning Workshop Cancelled

March 10, 2017

With the forecast for high winds and low temperatures, we thought it wise to forego the frostbite and cancel our Apple Pruning Workshop, scheduled for Sat., March 11.  Sunday doesn’t look any better. We’ll release a few more trees over the summer to have an even better selection for next spring’s workshop.

Thurs. March 9th 6:30-8: What’s Happening to Our Native Pollinators?

Please join the Hanover Conservancy and other UV Pollinator Partners as we kick off a full year of pollinator-themed events!

rusty-patched-bumblebeeAround the globe and right here in our own backyards, biologists have been buzzing about pollinator decline. From moths to native bumble bees and butterflies, some of these species have already disappeared. Who are the pollinators? Which species are in conservation trouble? What has caused these losses? Join a panel of local biologists who have studied pollinators to learn what the issues are and how we might reverse declining pollinator populations.

Family Snowshoe at Hudson Farm POSTPONED to March 25th, 1-2:30

February 13, 2017

Please join us on Saturday, March 25th from 1-2:30 to explore this soon-to-be-protected property in Etna! Snowshoes available (we hope they’ll be needed!). If you can’t come then but are curious, take your own self-guided tour with our January Hike of the Month.

Our Slade Brook snowshoe and bonfire has been canceled due to very icy trails and insufficient snow cover for a fire.

Winter Wildlife at the Trescott Lands

Don’t forget your micro-spikes and/or hiking poles on your next walk- many trails are slippery right now, and recent snow may be covering ice. Be safe and have fun!

Winter Trips & Programs

Monday, Jan. 23rd: Tonight’s Be Bear Smart! program is ON! The winter weather is supposed to hold off until later in the evening.

We hope you’ll join us for indoor and outdoor adventures this winter. Details here.
