Watch for blowdowns

The windstorm of Oct. 29-30 visited our trails and it will take time to clear all the paths. Our volunteers made much progress at Balch Hill on 10/31 and at Lower Slade Brook on 11/4. Please get in touch to report other obstructions. New volunteers always welcome!

Tales From the Arctic & Annual Meeting

Join us at Hanover High on Monday, 11/13 at 6:30 to hear from Dr. Jackie Richter-Menge, pioneering CRREL Research Engineer & 2016 presidential appointee to the U.S. Arctic Research Commission. Budding scientists of all ages will be inspired by Dr. Richter-Menge’s decades in the field! Fall colors include blaze orange!

Hunting season in NH begins Sept 15, so make sure hikers, kids & dogs are visible in the woods. Bright orange vests are available to borrow at Balch Hill (Grasse Rd kiosk) and at the Trescott lands (Trescott Rd kiosk). Read more about our deer management on Balch Hill here…
