Welcome to the 10th Annual Hanover Trails Hike Challenge, a program of the Hanover Parks & Recreation and the Hanover Conservancy. This summer’s challenge offers 8 hikes, 7 in Hanover and 1 located just “beyond our borders” in Lebanon. After you register, you will receive a hiking guide* (available by June 16) with maps, directions, property descriptions, and hiking guidelines. Each hike has a special destination where you will find a wooden marker with an image for you to draw or identify in your hiking guide.
It’s just good manners. Leaving a “biodegradable” pet waste bag on a trail for others to discover is not. Thanks for your help in keeping our trails beautiful.
Our next trip is Sunday, Feb. 23 – we’ll be tracking winter wildlife in the Mayor-Niles Forest on Moose Mountain. This trip is a special treat for current Hanover Conservancy members (free, but registration is required). Not a member? Join us!
Browse our Winter 2014 schedule of outdoor trips and indoor programs. Whether you prefer to explore Hanover outdoors in the snow or from the warmth of a comfy chair at the Howe Library, we hope you’ll check it out.
