Bring your binoculars and join us on Saturday morning to greet the spring migrants returning to Mink Brook. Meet at the parking area near the electric substation off Route 10 just south of downtown Hanover at 6:30 am. We will visit the protected lands along the brook both east and west. We may catch a glimpse of the black bear and her three cubs.
Spring is (really!) here…
… because our Spring Trip cards are here, with a full menu of indoor programs and outdoor adventures. And – the Mink Brook bear is out of her den with three cubs. Visit her on our Facebook page. Take in your birdfeeders, secure your trash, and leash your dog when at the Mink Brook Nature Preserve.
Winter Wildlife Trip
Our next trip is Sunday, Feb. 23 – we’ll be tracking winter wildlife in the Mayor-Niles Forest on Moose Mountain. This trip is a special treat for current Hanover Conservancy members (free, but registration is required). Not a member? Join us!
Browse our Winter 2014 schedule of outdoor trips and indoor programs. Whether you prefer to explore Hanover outdoors in the snow or from the warmth of a comfy chair at the Howe Library, we hope you’ll check it out.
