Help welcome at Rinker-Steele Natural Area – Sat. Nov. 10
Invasive removal work at the Rinker Pond will continue at 9 AM on Saturday, November 10th. Meet on Route 10 at the small pull off at the bottom of the hill just north of the Chieftain Motel.
We need help with brush hauling! Chainsawyers will be cutting invasive buckthorn and honeysuckle. Bring gloves and wear sturdy footwear. More on the Rinker-Steele Natural Area

Thanks to those who reported downed trees and limbs courtesy of Hurricane Sandy. We have two trees down across the trails at each of the following natural areas: Greensboro Ridge, Balch Hill Natural Area, and Mink Brook. Our volunteers will be heading out to clear these obstructions and hazards as soon as possible. If you’d like to help, please contact us.
Tour the Trescott Water Company Lands!
Coming up next: our tour of the hundreds of acres behind the fence protecting Hanover’s drinking water supply on Saturday, October 20. This special trip, led by the foresters charged with managing these sensitive lands, is for Hanover Conservancy members. Registration is now closed.
