A Trip Through Tunis History

Remote northeast Hanover is the Tunis District, a once-busy 19th c. settlement with its own one-room schoolhouse built in 1822. Celebrate its 200th anniversary with a peek at the beautifully restored school and easy/moderate hike to an historic mill site. Location: 88 Wolfeboro Road. Leaders: Barbara Fildes, Keith Quinton, and Adair Mulligan. Co-sponsored with the Hanover Historical Society.

Sign up now for the 9th Annual Hanover Trails Hike Challenge! This do-at-your-own-pace hiking challenge will introduce you to 8 trails around town that hikers of all ages will love.

Registration for Hanover Trails Challenge now open!

Registration for the 8th annual Hanover Trails Challenge is now open at HanoverRec.com!

Register now for the 8th Annual Hanover Trails Hike Challenge — a joint program of the Hanover Conservancy and Town of Hanover Parks and Recreation.  The Trails Challenge begins on June 14 and runs through September.  Participants receive a booklet with maps, directions, property descriptions and a destination marker to find and record.  Complete 6 of 9 hikes to be eligible for a raffle of prizes from local businesses: King Arthur Flour, Umplebys, Blue Sky Restaurant Group, Dan & Whits, Stateline Sports, Hanover Adventure Tours, Ramuntos, Blue Sparrow Kitchen, VINS and more.  

Registration Fees: $6.00 Individual, $20 for a family of 4 or more, children 4 and under free, optional t-shirt purchase for $5.00.
